Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List of the best hotels and resorts in the world is drawn from their annual Readers’ Choice Survey.  Updated annually, the Survey is a global tally of more than eight million votes cast by the savvy travelers that make up the magazine’s readers.
Entries into the survey include the edited comments of readers and are intended to reveal a property’s character rather than to catalog its facilities. Properties in the Readers’ Choice Survey are scored on select criteria, including Rooms, Service, Food, Location, Design, and Activities.  To qualify for inclusion in these rankings, a property had to receive a required minimum number of responses.
