Thomas J. Egan Appointed Director of Sales for the 2,000-room
Orlando World Center Marriott in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla., - February 16, 2012
– Thomas J. Egan was recently named Director of Sales at the 2000-room Orlando World Center Marriott , one of the premier convention resorts in the southeast. Egan was formerly employed by White Lodging Services, in Chicago, IL, where he served as Area Director of Sales and Marketing, Midway. He managed the entire sales organization, overseeing nine properties, two ownership groups, and four national brands, before being honored with the Presidents Council Award.

A graduate from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY, Egan brings more than 13 years of hospitality experience to the award-winning, convention property. Prior to joining White Lodging Services, he spent most of his hospitality career with Marriott International.  Egan was the Area Sales Leader for Marriott Global Sales in Chicago, IL, where he helped create, develop and launch Marriott’s Global Sales transformational sales team. He was also the former Director of Sales at the Courtyard Chicago Downtown, Senior Account Executive (Northeast Corporate Market) at the Chicago Marriott Downtown and a former Sales Manager at Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, KY.  During his tenure, Egan received a number of prestigious awards to include the Leadership Excellence Award and was a two-time recipient of the distinguished Chairmen’s Circle award.

Egan will reside in Orlando with his wife, Brandie and two-year old son Finlay.
