 DENVER, Colo. – February 27, 2012- Hotel Teatro,
Denver’s luxury boutique hotel, announces the selection of Mr. Mark
Plonkey as
general manager. With an extensive background in management and
hospitality,
Plonkey has been serving as Hotel Teatro’s assistant general manager
during the
past year. In his new position, Plonkey will lead the Hotel Teatro team
in
managing revenue generation, customer satisfaction and overall
operations.“I’m extremely excited to serve as the general manager for one of the premier hotels worldwide for service and quality” said Plonkey. “There has been a strong lineage of past general managers at Hotel Teatro and it means a great deal to be mentioned in the same breath as those individuals. It is a privilege and true honor to continue my career with one of the top hotels in Denver.” Prior to his promotion as general manager, Plonkey worked as front office manager and rooms division manager for Hotel Teatro. Plonkey also assisted with the opening of the Four Seasons Denver before returning to Hotel Teatro in February 2011 as the assistant general manager. Plonkey attended college at Colorado State University and holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts.
