announced its top performing properties of 2011. Taking top honors as
the 2011
Connie Award Winner was Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile-East
Bay/Daphne, AL.
The Connie Award, named after Hilton Worldwide’s founder Conrad Hilton, is awarded to the top hotel of the year based on three key components: quality assurance audits measuring cleanliness, condition and brand standards; customer satisfaction scores rating staff service; and the quality of the hotel’s physical accommodations. Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile-East Bay/Daphne is overseen by General Manager Chuck Cuff and Director of Sales Sandy Caruso. The 104-suite hotel is located on the Eastern Shore of Baldwin County near the scenic Mobile Bay. Cuff was also named General Manager of the Year, while Kent Stine of Homewood Suites by Hilton Fort Collins, CO was named Director of Sales of the Year. Homewood Suites also honored hotels from the brand’s portfolio of more than 300 properties in a variety of categories from Food & Beverage Team of the Year to Top New Hotel Performance during the awards ceremony at Homewood’s annual brand conference. In addition, the first annual Spirit of Homewood Suites award was given to the Books for Kids Foundation, an early childhood education advocacy group. The Spirit of Homewood Suites award recognizes a company that best aligns with Homewood Suites’ “Nature, Nurture, Learn” principle and makes an impact beyond our guests and to the community around us. The mission of the Books for Kids Foundation is to promote literacy among all children with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children.
