News for the Hospitality Executive |
February 2012 - Arco Buijs, CEO of
Steigenberger Hotels AG, is to leave the company by mutual consent. The
differing strategic views with regard to future development held by
Arco Buijs and the Supervisory Board mean that his contract will not be
extended when it falls due for renewal in the middle of the year. Buijs
will leave the company at the end of February 2012.
Arco Buijs has driven forwards the internationalisation of Steigenberger and introduced significant structural changes. The Supervisory Board would like to thank Arco Buijs for the commitment he has shown. Matthias Heck, CFO at Steigenberger Hotels AG, will take on the remits held by Arco Buijs until further notice. Steigenberger Hotels AG is one of Europe's leading hotel groups. The company's Head Office is located in Frankfurt am Main, and it operates 79 hotels in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Egypt. The umbrella brand Steigenberger Hotel Group includes the two brands Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts (47 individual First Class and Deluxe Hotels) and InterCityHotel (32 hotels in the upper mid-range category located in the direct vicinity of transport hubs such as railway stations and airports). www.steigenbergerhotelgroup.de |
