Ilse Harley Named as General Manager for the 147-room
Four Seasons Hotel Seattle in Washington

October 2011
- Four Seasons Hotel Seattle welcomes Ilse Harley as the new general manager of the hotel. Harley's career with Four Seasons spans two decades and includes management positions in Boston, Maui, Atlanta, New York and most recently, at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai.

Harley began her path to the role of general manager in 1988 at Four Seasons Hotel Boston with hands on training as assistant director of housekeeping and later with guest relations experience as both front office and reservations manager. She's also had the opportunity to be a part of the opening team at Four Seasons Resort Maui, the company's first resort at the time, as director of housekeeping.

After a short departure from the company, Harley returned to the brand in her hometown of Atlanta as director of rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta and subsequently to Four Seasons Hotel New York in the same capacity. She returned to Four Seasons Maui as director of rooms and in 2007, Harley was promoted to resort manager at Four Seasons Resort Hualalai where she helped lead the resort through two renovations (one post tsunami), as well as earning multiple resort accolades and awards.

"I'm excited to begin this new chapter in my Four Seasons career and be a part of the team here," said Harley. "Four Seasons Hotel Seattle remains true to who they are and the service they provide. I'm eager to carry on the great results the hotel has seen since opening in 2008 and to become further integrated into the Seattle community."

Harley graduated from the University of Massachusetts where she earned her degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Presently, she is one of five female Four Seasons general managers. Harley looks forward to calling Seattle home with her husband and son and exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
