Bruce James Appointed as General Manager of Hotel Matilda
in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico


San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, October 4, 2011:  Hotel Matilda (www.hotelmatilda.com ) has announced the appointment of Bruce James – a highly accomplished hotelier with years of experience managing leading hotels in Mexico – as General Manager.

Mr. James has guided some of the most iconic and trend-setting luxury hotels and hotel companies in Mexico.  Most recently, he was general manager of the famed Hacienda de San Antonio and Cuixmala, located near Colima. Previously, he was with Habita Hotels serving in a variety of executive positions including:  regional manager based in Acapulco, where he oversaw the renovation of Hotel Boca Chica; regional general manager of Hotel Deseo and Hotel Básico in Playa del Carmen; and general manager of the flagship Habita Hotel in Mexico City's chic Polanco district.  Prior to Habita Hotels, Mr. James was general manager of the Quinta Real Acapulco and Casa del Mar in Los Cabos.
