MGM Resorts International Names Niklas Rytterstrom as General Manager
at the 1,200-room Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi


Tunica, Miss. (November 1, 2011)
– MGM Resorts International is pleased to announce Niklas Rytterstrom as the new General Manager at Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi.  Rytterstrom began his career with MGM Resorts International in 1996 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. He later moved to San Francisco and became the Assistant Front Office Manager at the Mark Hopkins Inter-Continental Hotel. Rytterstrom returned to MGM Resorts International as Assistant Hotel Manager at Bellagio where he helped the property achieve the prestigious AAA Five Diamond award. He has also held positions as Front Office Manager and Hotel Manager at the Mirage.

Since 2005, Rytterstrom has been highly successful in consistently leading the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in the achievement of significant high-quality guest service and profitable venues as the Vice President of Hotel Operations. In this capacity, he has been responsible for the Hotel division, Food & Beverage, Retail, Engineering and the magnificent Fallen Oak. Rytterstrom’s leadership skills and commitment to excellence were unsurpassed during the reconstruction of Beau Rivage and he was instrumental in the resort’s re-opening after Hurricane Katrina.

In his new role, Rytterstrom will be accountable for Gold Strike’s leadership, business operations, the quality of its products and services, financial performance and team development.   He will be responsible for collaborating with the MGM Resorts Mississippi Operations regional leadership team to execute key corporate and property strategic profitability initiatives and operation goals.

Rytterstrom has more than 12 years of extensive knowledge and experience in hospitality and hotel operations. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada.
