(Nov. 28, 2011) – Carlson, a
global hospitality and travel
company, today announced two key appointments for the Radisson Blu
Resort,
Marina & Spa, St. Martin, which is scheduled to reopen on Dec. 15,
2011. The
appointments include Jean-marc Jalbert as general manager and Manon
Castelin as
senior sales manager serving France, Italy and Benelux.
“Jean-marc and Manon bring a wealth of global experience to the Caribbean resort and will be great assets to the Radisson Blu Resort, Marina & Spa, St. Martin. Jean-marc has extensive experience managing major luxury hotel brands and I am confident that Jean-marc’s leadership will add to the operational success of the property,” said Javier Rosenberg, vice president, Owned and Managed Operations, Carlson Hotels, Americas. Jean-marc Jalbert has worked across Europe and the United States for Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and independent Relais & Châteaux properties. His most recent experience includes more than eight years with Sofitel in a number of properties and capacities, including general manager and vice president of Food & Beverage for the Americas. Jalbert received a bachelor’s degree in Food & Beverage and Hotel Management from Lycée Hôtelier Paul Valery in Menton, France. He is fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish. Jalbert is also on the advisory board of Hotel F&B Executive Magazine. Manon Castelin joins the Radisson Blu Resort, Marina & Spa, St. Martin from the Radisson Blu Hotel, Biarritz, in the Basque countryside of France, where she served as international sales manager. Castelin has also served in sales and events at the Hotel Concorde Opéra Paris (formerly Concorde Saint Lazare Hotel). Castelin has a master’s degree in Tourism and Management from the International Tourism Institute in Marseille, France. The Radisson Blu Resort, Marina & Spa, St. Martin closed earlier this year to undergo renovations and will open on schedule on Dec. 15. The renovations will position the hotel at the top end of St. Martin’s hotel accommodations, offering guests a number of enhanced amenities and services.
