Shreveport, LA (September 19, 2011)—Seasoned hospitality professional Michael Green has joined the Hilton Shreveport as general manager, announced Gary Gutierrez, president of HRI Lodging, operator of the hotel.
 
“We are excited to welcome Michael into the Hilton Shreveport family,” said Gutierrez. “His wide managerial experience and passion for quality service makes him uniquely suited to manage our Hilton Shreveport,” he added.
 
Green brings more than 30 years of experience to the Hilton Shreveport, attached to the state-of-the-art 350,000 square-foot Convention Center in the heart of the downtown Shreveport Riverfront District.
 
He has worked in a number of hotels in the Caribbean and North America including Aruba, Dallas, San Francisco, St. Louis, Nashville, Houston, Tampa and Atlanta. He also served as corporate director of food and beverage for Wyndham International.
 
Since 2004, Green has operated The Green Team, Inc., his own independent company in hospitality services. The Green Team has provided a range of operational and marketing services to more than 35 hotels since he founded the company.
 
Green attended Southwest Missouri State University and the University of Hawaii Kapoilani.
