Denver, Colo. (September 16, 2011) – The JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek, which recently completed an extensive $5 million renovation, is pleased to announce that it has hired two new senior executives - Zak Kimble to serve as the Director of Sales & Marketing and Nicholas Welker to serve as the Director of Operations.
 

A strong leader with more than a decade of Marriott sales experience, Kimble most recently served as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Denver Marriott City Center. A graduate of Iowa State University, other previous hotel properties include the Woodlands Waterway Marriott in Houston, the Marriott Solana in Dallas and the Chicago O’Hare Marriott in Chicago.	Welker brings more than 14 years of hospitality experience to the JW Marriott Denver, joining the team from the Hotel Monaco Chicago, where he served as the Assistant General Manager.  A graduate of the Metropolitan State College of Denver, he previously worked at the Hotel Monaco Denver and the Doubletree Hotel Denver Southeast.

The hotel has also named Erin Herman a Senior Catering Sales Manager.
 
Herman previously served as a Catering Sales Manager at McCormick’s Catering at Denver’s Oxford Hotel. A graduate of Colorado State University, she also spent several years as a retail sales manager at GoJo Sports in Greeley, Colorado.
