DLR Group and LodgeWorks Open the 164-room
Hotel Sierra San Jose in California

(DLR Group – August 24, 2011)
– San Jose, known as the technology mecca of the world, is now offering business and leisure travelers a new level of hospitality. DLR Group, along with developer LodgeWorks, local city officials, and more than 300 guests celebrated the grand opening of Hotel Sierra San Jose in April.

“Hotel Sierra takes life on the road in a new direction,” said Yann de Fabrique, general manager. “Our intuitive amenities and guest-empowered approach enable travelers to own the overall experience and maintain a sense of routine while away from their comfort zones.”

At seven stories, Hotel Sierra features 164 guestrooms, studios and one and two bedroom suites. A complimentary, bistro-style breakfast coupled with full-size, contemporary kitchens and two fitness centers help maintain daily health regiments, while free Wi-Fi, flat panel televisions, and an interactive business lounge keep guests connected.

“DLR Group’s design caters to technology enthusiasts, with sophisticated finishes and amenities today’s travelers expect,” said DLR Group Principal Ken Martin, AIA. “Together, DLR Group and LodgeWorks created a cutting-edge and contemporary retreat for short or extended stays.”

This hip destination hotel is the perfect backdrop for corporate and social events. The H BAR and alfresco patio, joined by floor-to-ceiling retractable doors, create a stunning indoor/outdoor ambiance ideal for casual cocktail hour or an upscale evening affair. Stylish and flexible indoor and outdoor space, ranging from 828 to 2,592 square feet can accommodate up to 220 guests. A landscaped central courtyard with patio and pool deck provides ideal pre-function space for the lobby, restaurant and lounge. Simplistic yet striking interiors are cloaked in soothing neutral hues. Rich chocolate accents and bursts of burnt orange provide a complementary and welcoming contrast to Hotel Sierra’s modern and interactive concept.

Hotel Sierra is located in the city’s Golden Triangle, near the crossroads of Highways 237, 880, and 101.
