AmericInn® Begins Construction on Contemporary New Prototype
of AmericInn Hotels in Fairfield, Iowa

Scheduled to Open in March of 2012 and Managed by Three Rivers Hospitality

MINNEAPOLIS, July 26, 2011-- AmericInn®, one of the nation's leading midscale hotel companies, today announced that construction has begun on a new brand prototype featuring a contemporary new design that represents the future hospitality concept for this expanding national brand.

The new prototype (see photo images: AmericInn Fairfield ) is located in Fairfield, IA. and is being developed by long-term AmericInn franchisee Apollo Development, LLC of Minnetonka, MN. The hotel is expected to open in March 2012 and will be managed by Three Rivers Hospitality, the hotel property management arm of AmericInn, headquartered in Chanhassen, MN.

"We are very pleased to introduce this exciting new concept for AmericInn which is designed to serve the needs and expectations of today's sophisticated travelers and also positions us for accelerated growth nationwide," said Paul Kirwin, president and CEO of AmericInn. "It is particularly fitting that this prototype is being developed by Apollo which has been a respected and valued partner in our past growth and success," he added. Apollo has previously developed five AmericInn properties located in Illinois, Nebraska and Iowa.

The contemporary, three-story hotel will feature a new open lobby concept that encompasses an attractive beverage bar and breakfast dining area that is designed to foster social interaction throughout the day. Other amenities include an indoor pool, business center and meeting room plus 64 guest rooms and suites offering refreshing, contemporary furnishings.

"The AmericInn Fairfield will feature the latest design trends to serve today's socially interactive travelers," said Nasir Raja, senior vice president of operations. "For example, the lobby provides an open and comfortable multi-functional environment with wide-screen televisions and complimentary wireless internet connectivity," he added.

Dave Harchako, general partner of Apollo, said the AmericInn Fairfield is also being constructed with special energy conservation features. "This includes motion-monitoring energy management systems in all guestrooms, high efficiency windows, energy efficient construction and interior placement of the swimming pool to retain heat," he said.

Ron Burgett, executive vice president of development for AmericInn, noted that the AmericInn Fairfield is new construction, a welcome change in the trend of the past couple of years caused by the economic slowdown. "We are hopeful that the construction of this new prototype signals that we are on our way back to building hotels again," he said. Burgett said that additional AmericInn properties are under development nationwide including another new construction by Apollo that is expected to break ground later this year.
