 BRETTON WOODS, NH (August 10, 2011) - The Omni Mount Washington Resort
in Bretton Woods, NH, has appointed Robert Clarke as Director
of Food & Beverage. A talented professional with more than two
decades of
experience at grand-scale resorts, Clarke is responsible for all
dining,
catering, room service and banquet operations at the AAA Four-Diamond
rated
Omni Mount Washington Resort. Clarke replaces Calvin Belknap, who was
recently
promoted to Resort Manager at the property.The luxury all-season resort's culinary offerings run the gamut from four-course dinners in the hotel's Dining Room to family-friendly offerings at Fabyans Station; "Farm to Table" pub and steakhouse fare at Stickney's; mountain-view meals near the summit of Bretton Woods at the Top o' Quad Restaurant and more. In addition, the hotel Dining Room and the Bretton Arms Inn Dining Room were both honored this year with the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. "Robert brings a wealth of food and beverage experience to our corner of the Presidential Range and is sure to prove himself a talent in all aspects of our dining operations," said Larry Magor, managing director at the Omni Mount Washington Resort. Clarke joins the Omni Mount Washington Resort from Belterra Casino, Resort & Spa in Florence, IN, where as Director of Food & Beverage, he oversaw more than 320 employees and the operation of everything from the Casino Deli to a VIP Lounge. Clarke also spent several years in Florida, where he directed a series of high-volume hotel and resort food and beverage operations, including Food & Beverage Operations Manager at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista (1997-2009), which achieved AAA Four Diamond status for the first time in 37 years during his time there; Disney's Boardwalk Resort, also in Buena Vista (2000-2005); and Disney's Vero Beach Resort (1997-2000). Clarke began his career as Director of Food & Beverage at Marriott Corporation properties in Tampa and Marco Island, Florida, in 1989. Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Clarke earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California State University in Sacramento. He honed his F&B skills at Disney University, with training in everything from Service Excellence and Business Conduct to Level One Sommelier and Spirits Certification.
