PALM SPRINGS, CA – August 24, 2011: “Affordably Hip” Palm Springs Travelodge has been recognized for outstanding quality by the Travelodge® hotel brand, which recently awarded the hotel an “A” rating after the brand’s quality assurance evaluators visited the property last month.
During the unannounced visit, quality assurance evaluators rated and inspected the hotel on 350 different individual items relating to cleanliness, quality and service. “We couldn’t be more pleased with our score on this latest evaluation and believe that it serves as yet another testament to the fact that we place the needs of our guests first here at the Palm Springs Travelodge,” said Vanessa Barreto, general manager. “I thank the staff for their hard work and dedication and look forward to continuing to share with our guests the outstanding quality and service that our hotel has become known for.”
All Travelodge hotels receive unannounced quality assurance evolutions one to two times a year to ensure that they meet Travelodge brand standards and provide a consistent, high quality experience to all of their guests. In addition to the evaluations, the hotels take part in a number of other quality assurance efforts, which include, but are not limited to, visits from third-party mystery shoppers and regular online guest surveys.
The hotel was originally built in the early 1970’s and has operated with a Travelodge Flag since it first opened. Travelodge Hotels, a member of the Wyndham Hotel Group family of lodging brands is a chain of economy hotels located throughout North America. The hotel was purchased in 2008 by Allen Yadegari and Robert Kashefi. Their vision and ideas were to renovate the property that would include a more modern, chic, affordably hip look by using the existing structure, adding additional amenities with a mid century modern feel. They wanted the look and feel of the property to complement its surroundings and attract a guest who is looking for a new experience in Palm Springs. The hotel re-opened in March 2009 after the renovation. They are proud to have earned an "A" rating from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and know that their ongoing capital improvements and renovation program have proven to be an effective method to beat their competition and provide the best possible experience for their guests. Cabana Beds at the pool area were added in 2010 and this year the hotel upgraded their in-room bath towels, pool towels, added private label bottled water and beach cruisers.
