MSI Goes Back to School at Northern Arizona University


 Instructional levels soar with PMS and Point of Sale deployment

 
Phoenix, AZ — August 25, 2011 — MSI (Multi-Systems, Inc.) is the first hospitality technology provider to install its fully integrated WinPM property management system (PMS) and Place Point point of sale system (POS) at the computer laboratory in the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management within Northern Arizona University at Flagstaff, AZ.
 
Professor of NAU’s School of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Galen Collins states, “I wanted to offer incoming and current students the opportunity to have more presence in front of a property management system that I felt was beyond compare in the hotel industry.  Having known previous successes with MSI, I approached Rick Munson with a request to run his solutions on a number of workstations—enough to facilitate our needs.  He was happy to satisfy the request, providing not 10 or 20, but 40!”

NAU is known for high standards and commitment to excellence in education and training for the service-oriented positions of the hospitality industry.  Engaging in a rigorous four-year, baccalaureate program, students are instructed in management, leadership and technical studies enriched by Liberal Arts and cultural sensitivity.  The HRM School was one of the first U.S. schools to win the ACPHA-accreditation; which, by definition, is a ‘status granted to an educational institution or program that has been found to meet or exceed stated standards of educational quality.’  HRM East at Northern Arizona University’s School of Hotel & Restaurant Management has completed its first major renovation in more than 20 years, adding classrooms and clinical lab space for supporting innovative curriculum and experiential learning opportunities such as those offered by MSI’s WinPM.
