Dolce Hotels and Resorts Appoints Joseph DeMille Sr.
as Senior Director of Business Development

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Aug. 24, 2011)
─ Dolce Hotels and Resorts, operator of 27 upscale hotels, resorts and conference hotels in North America and Europe, has expanded its Global Sales team with the appointment of Joseph DeMille Sr. as senior director of business development, responsible for developing strategies and booking new long-term business from the corporate training and education market.

He is focused on supporting Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree in Georgia; Dolce Norwalk in Connecticut; the American Airlines Training & Conference Center in Fort Worth, Texas; Dolce Valley Forge in Pennsylvania; Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, Calif.; IBM Learning Center in Armonk, N.Y.; and The William F. Bolger Center for Leadership Development in Potomac, Md.

DeMille, of Amelia Island, Fla., began supporting Dolce as a senior business development consultant in March 2010, responsible for developing Dolce’s education business and building brand awareness among prospective clients.  Prior to that, he served Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide for four years as senior director of business development-GSO.

From 2001 to 2006, he was complex director of sales & marketing for The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla.  Prior to that he was director of sales & marketing for The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa in Georgia, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, in Florida and Hyatt Regency hotels in Atlanta, Washington, Cambridge, Mass., and Reston, Va.

DeMille earned his bachelor of science degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, N.Y., in 1980.  He serves on the board of The Society for Collegiate Travel & Expense Management and is a member of The American Society of Training & Development, the Professional Conference Management Association, Global Business Travel Association and Religious Conference Management Association.
