Choice Hotels International Opens 28
New Hotels in July 2011

Silver Spring, Md. (August 2, 2011) – Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) continues to grow with the announcement of 28 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of July. The openings include hotels in 15 states and six additional countries, adding more than 2,800 rooms to the company’s existing 490,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in July include:

Xona Resort Suites, an Ascend Collection hotel – Scottsdale, Ariz.
The first Ascend Collection property in Arizona and the largest in the continental United States with 431 rooms, the Xona Resort Suites in North Scottsdale is set against a dazzling desert backdrop. The hotel features a contemporary Southwest-inspired design with sprawling indoor and outdoor spaces and spectacular views of Arizona’s pale blue skits and purple mountains. With roomy suites, a full-service restaurant, lively bar, adjacent spa, four sparkling swimming pools, business center, 24-hour fitness center, and dramatic meeting and event space, the resort is an oasis for couples, families, groups, weddings and business travelers.

Comfort Suites – Bakersfield, Calif.
This smoke-free hotel is located within minutes to the nearby River Lakes Golf Course and Kern County Fairgrounds. The property offers a free full breakfast, free high-speed Internet, outdoor pool, whirlpool/hot tub, exercise room, business center, free weekday newspapers and an onsite putting green. All rooms are suites and feature microwaves, refrigerators, and more. Select rooms offer in-bath whirlpools.

Clarion Hotel – Richmond, Va.
Conveniently located within historic Richmond, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi, a seasonal outdoor pool, onsite restaurant and lounge, exercise room, business center, free weekday newspapers, guest laundry facilities and banquet/meeting facilities for up to 600 people. Spacious guestrooms offer pillow-top mattresses with select rooms also featuring microwave, flat screen TVs, refrigerators and sofa beds. Parking is available and pets are welcomed at the hotel for an additional fee.

Comfort Hotel – Bobigny, France
This Comfort Hotel property is conveniently located near the economic hub of the beautiful city of Bobigny, just outside of Paris. The hotel provides free high-speed internet and parking and is pet friendly. The property is 100 percent smoke free and guestrooms offer hair dryers, coffee makers and flat screen TVs with cable.
