BayStar Hotel Group Selected to Manage the Embassy Suites Orlando - North
and will Oversee its 3.5 million Renovation

TAMPA, FLA. (Aug. 29, 2011) - BayStar Hotel Group, LLC, a Tampa-based hotel development and management company, has been retained to manage the Embassy Suites Orlando North and oversee its $3.5 million renovation.

"The hotel looks good now, and it will be spectacular after the renovation," said George Glover, chairman of BayStar Hotel Group.  Plans call for updating the guest rooms and public areas with new colors and fabrics.  The lobby and registration area will be transformed into a friendly, state-of-the-art welcoming center with individual, pod-style registration kiosks.  All meeting space will be transformed into multi-functional areas to accommodate meeting planners and event specialists.  The Omaha Steakhouse, located within the hotel atrium will receive a complete update to emphasize its upscale positioning in the North Orlando steakhouse market.

Embassy Suites Orlando - North sits on the edge of Cranes Roost Lake in Uptown Altamonte, a mixture of luxury residences, shopping, fine dining, office condos, and a city park and amphitheatre.  The area sets the stage for outdoor art festivals and similar events, including Fourth of July fireworks, and many suites offer a lake view.

"Uptown Altamonte has a small town feel and is such a nice area that one of our regular business guests stays here instead of some place closer to his downtown Orlando office," Glover added.  "He's here nearly every week and is trying to stay in every suite in the hotel."

Embassy Suites Orlando - North has 277 spacious, two-room suites, including five "conference room" suites with a board room set up instead of the traditional living room.  It features 71,000 square feet of meeting space with catering by the on-site Omaha Steak House, which also handles the hotel's room service.

There is a 50-50 mix of business and leisure guests, and the hotel provides meeting rooms, a business center, audio/visual equipment rental, HSIA, WIFI, along with some unusual business services, including a notary public and complimentary printing service.

There is also a car rental service, ATM and gift shop inside the hotel.  A fitness center, swimming pool and board walk around the lake offer exercise opportunities, and the hotel is pet friendly.  A complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and evening manager's reception round out the guest experience.

Established in 1984, Embassy Suites Hotels offer a full-service, upscale hotel experience.  Located at 225 Shorecrest Drive in Altamonte Springs, near the Interstate 4 and State Road 436 exit, approximately eight miles north of downtown Orlando, the Embassy Suites Orlando - North can be reached at 407-834-2400.
