News for the Hospitality Executive
Calif. — June 13, 2011 —Hoteliers are welcoming the new wave of
applications designed for mobile devices as a pathway to increased
reduced labor costs and improved reporting effectiveness through
management. VSi is taking a leadership role to bring to the hotel industry guest
services and operational applications for mobile devices.
hotel industry is eager to adopt new ideas for providing additional
their guests and implementing new productivity tools that will provide
operations team with improved efficiencies and information on demand,”
said Saeed Kazmi,
VSi President & CEO. “Information can be a power tool in the hands
management when the information is provided in a timely manner and
filled with meaningful data that can be acted upon in real
time, rather than only being reacted to later.”
vInspect™ is just one of the new mobile applications, “mAPPs™”, VSi is introducing to the lodging industry in 2011. Available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, vInspect™ is an operations application that provides hotel housekeeping with a handheld device that greatly simplifies room inspections, while providing the data collected in a real-time reporting format that can be tailored to specific hotel needs.
“No longer will the housekeeping inspection need to be manually done on paper, then at some later time, transcribed into an Excel spreadsheet or other time consuming format”, Saeed Kazmi explains. “vInspect™ provides an electronic template for room inspections that when completed is uploaded to a web based reporting system that will provide every level of hotel management with real-time information not previously available”.
vInspect™ is available exclusively from VSi. Included in a turnkey package is brand specific custom software, the iPad/ iPod Touch, maintenance and replacement services, complete database administration and web based tools providing data access and management, 24/7 hotline support and regularly scheduled product updates.
Already installed and making a measurable difference at a number of hotels, vInspect™ can be scaled to meet the needs of properties from 50 to 5,000 rooms.
“vInspect™ is the first in a family of VSi mobile applications “mAPPs™” being introduced to the lodging industry in 2011,” he added. “Numerous other applications are currently in trial, and others are in various stages of development, based upon input and feedback being received from our hotel partners”.
We encourage hotels with similar needs, who want to free up the information log jam, to contact VSi and challenge us to provide the right mobile applications.
