Chattanooga, Tennessee,
May 31, 2011 – Vision Hospitality
Group, Inc. proudly announces the appointment of Kim Randall as General
Manager
for the Hilton Garden Inn Chattanooga Downtown. The six-story,
94-guestroom
property is positioned at the heart of all that downtown Chattanooga
has to
offer. Neighbor to the popular Creative Discovery Museum and
Chattanooga’s
AT&T Field home of the Chattanooga Lookouts, the hotel has been a
long time
favorite for the family traveler. VISION appealed to Randall for a
number of
reasons including a strong reputation in the industry based on
historical performance,
forecasted outlook for growth, and our “associate” centered corporate
culture.
The company’s Chattanooga roots and property concentration are
complimentary of
the desire to remain in the area her family proudly calls home. Randall
began
her hospitality career in 2002 at the Courtyard by Marriott, as an
Operations
Manager. She prides herself on the knowledge of both the financial and
service
aspects of the business. Their equal importance aligns with her
philosophy of
the real necessity of “balance” in order to achieve true success both
personally and professionally. Her calm yet charismatic personality
makes her a
natural in the delivery of excellent guest service and problem
resolution.
Randall describes her management style as associate centered and keenly
focused
on service. A genuine people person, her positive attitude instantly
provokes a
welcoming confidence in her peers and associates. Her open willingness
to share
her experience and knowledge with others is the magnetic force that
motivates
and inspires those around her. When asked about her greatest personal
accomplishments, she quickly proclaims, “first being a mom, of course,
and
professionally being in a position to have the opportunity to mentor
and
educate others to assist in their career development and success”. In
2004,
Marriott at Hamilton Place offered her a promotion to the position of
Assistant
General Manager for the Marriott managed Courtyard. Eager to continue
to learn
all facets of the industry, she accepted a promotion to Sales Manager.
Shortly
thereafter, she ultimately achieved an offer of promotion to General
Manager
for the property. The experience and skill set Randall brings to the
table is
parallel to VISION’s culture of empowerment and respect for associates.
“Kim’s
energized personality is strengthened by her calm “no nonsense” outlook
on any
situation, this has undoubtedly afforded her much success in her career
to
date, we are excited to have her join the VISION Team,” said Jeff
Mochel,
Regional Director of Operations for Vision Hospitality Group, Inc.
A native of Anniston, Alabama,
she attended college at the University of Alabama before moving to
Chattanooga
in 1998. Her husband, Randy, daughter Taylor, 11 and son Morgan “Moe”,
3 are
the joy of her life. Family is her favorite pastime along with
knitting, “ROLL
TIDE” football, music of any kind, and a particular love for southern
cooking.
In May, she won the grand-prize for the “International Biscuit
Bakeoff”, with
her very own recipe of sweet potato casserole biscuits with country
ham. A
loyal Blood Donor and actively listed donor on the National Marrow
Donation
List, she feels strongly about the importance of giving where there is
the most
need.
