News for the Hospitality Executive |
CHICAGO, IL June 14,
2011 – Flyte Systems announced it
signed a joint agreement with LodgeNet Interactive Corporation to
provide hotel
guests with fast and easy access to interactive, real-time
airline flight information from their in-room televisions.
Flyte Systems’ new FlyteXchange service will
be offered on LodgeNet’s Envision™ high-definition, interactive
platform. The companies
have completed their first system installation at the landmark
1,100-room Hyatt
Regency O’Hare in suburban Chicago. Flyte
Systems is the leading provider of airport
travel information displays and digital
signage content for the hospitality industry, digital signage,
convention centers, and related businesses.
Flyte Systems, LodgeNet deliver confidence-boosting travel amenity that guests will remember “LodgeNet’s Envision platform makes it possible to deliver an interactive airline information service that will give guests more confidence in their travel plans,” says Scott Triphahn, Flyte Systems vice president. “Guests now access real-time flight status with Flyte Systems’ FlyteXchange integrated with Envision’s TV flight application using the controls on their in-room remote. The guest is in control to simply scroll through all flights; narrowing their search by specific airline and even zeroing in by flight number. At the Hyatt Regency O’Hare guests view both O’Hare and Midway flights in seconds, faster than any PC or mobile device can offer. The LodgeNet Envision product coupled with Flyte Systems airport experience has just raised the bar for guest convenience. This is something travelers will value and remember.” “FlyteXchange, combined with LodgeNet’s Flight Info application, creates a solution that enhances the guest experience and adds value to a property’s in-room services,” says Paul Johnson, LodgeNet vice president of product management. “We worked with Flyte Systems on the implementation, and found them very experienced in this arena, delivering a relevant product for travelers. They have been extremely responsive and a valued partner.” Real-time departure data makes the difference Flyte Systems provides the only full service flight information display solution with real-time departure information. What sets Flyte Channel apart from PC-based applications is the ability to post accurate airline flight arrival and departure information. In contrast, FAA-regulated scheduled departure times do not list delays caused by air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, crew availability, and weather. Flyte Systems offers a suite of
products that
serve the traveling public: FlyteBoard, FlytePass, FlyteChannel,
FlyteTouch, and now FlytePad with handheld mobile airline
information.
