Accor Ramps up Development in Indonesia with Planned
Additions of 21 New Hotels


Jakarta, June 1, 2011 – Accor the largest operator of hotels in Asia Pacific, has announced further expansion of its network in Indonesia with 21 new hotels.  These new hotels will be distributed throughout the archipelago and will add 4,526 new rooms to Accor's Indonesian hotel network.  Accor currently operates 40 hotels in Indonesia and has previously announced a further 13 hotels which are in various stages of construction.  With this most recent announcement, Accor has 34 new hotels committed to the country.
 
Michael Issenberg – Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, Accor Asia Pacific, said during a press conference in Jakarta "The Indonesian economy continues to grow and benefiting from this growth is increased business travel and tourism volumes.  Accor with its extensive and diversified Indonesian network is capitalizing on our strong brand recognition and significant resources that we have in the country in leveraging our expansion."

The 21 hotels announced are:

   2011
   Pullman Jakarta Central Park, 316 rooms

   2012
   Novotel Jakarta Gajah Mada, 230 rooms
   The Kuta Beach Heritage (MGallery) 151 rooms
   ibis Bandung Supermal, 604 rooms
   all seasons Bali Nusa Dua 200 rooms
   all seasons Bali Benoa, 183 rooms




















Gerard Guillouet, Vice President for Accor in Indonesia says “Within this significant expansion announcement for Indonesia are several notable developments including; the first Pullman hotel for the capital Jakarta and the four Formule1 hotels are signed with a single owner - PT Sunindo Indah Hotel. Additionally we are delighted with the pace with which the all seasons brand has found traction in the country, with four of the new hotels sporting this non standardized economy hotel mark.”
 
During 2011, Accor will open 8 additional hotels, taking the network to 47 hotels by year end.  These hotels include; Pullman Jakarta Central Park, Novotel Sentul, Novotel Banjarmasin Airport, Mercure Palu, all seasons Bali Benoa, all seasons Bali Kuta Dewi Sri, ibis Jakarta Senen and ibis Jakarta Cawang.  Beyond this and additional ten hotels of the committed hotels will open in 2012.
