Travel Tripper Adds Social Media and PMS Interfaces
to RezTrip 2.0 Hotel Booking Engine

New York (April 27, 2011) – Travel Tripper, LLC, has added powerful new features to its industry leading RezTripTM online booking engine.  The enhancements include certified reservation delivery interfaces to two popular property management systems:  Agilysys’ LMS and Micros-Fidelio’s Opera.  Travel Tripper also now enables shoppers to forward interesting hotel deals and itinerary information to their social network from within the booking engine.
According to Steve Curley, Assistant General Manager of the Hotel Azure in New York City, “We just upgraded to the 2.0 version of RezTripTM and are very happy with the product.  Travel Tripper customized the look and feel of the booking engine to match the design of our web site, which makes for a great online shopping experience for our guests.  The booking engine is also a great marketing tool as RezTripTM’s Facebook and Twitter integration makes it easy for customers to spread the word about our hotel.”
Travel Tripper has incorporated social media at three different stages within the hotel booking process.  First, hotel shoppers can tweet or post a link to an attractive package or special deal when first encountering such an offer.  Second, shoppers can send a link to tentative trip plans from the RezTripTM shopping cart.  Third, guests who have booked a room can forward booked stay details to their Twitter or Facebook connections.  Hotels can activate or deactivate each of these three items and can fully customize the test that the customer publishes.
The newly certified PMS interfaces ensure that reservations, modifications, and cancellations from RezTrip are synchronized automatically into the hotel’s PMS.  The interface supports both fixed and dynamic packaging components, which can be challenging for hotel operations staff to fulfill if not properly sent from the Central Reservation System to the PMS.
Scott Brodows, Executive Vice President at Travel Tripper said “Travel Tripper continues to add valuable features to RezTripTM at a rapid rate.  Unlike other reservation technology companies whose product direction is vague, we are laser focused on helping hotels drive more business at higher yields through direct distribution channels.”
