Robert Morris Named Food & Beverage Manager at Spruce Point Inn, Resort & Spa

Robert Morris,
manager of food & beverage, with immediate responsibility for
preparing the
resort’s three restaurants for its 21st season. Mr. Morris brings over a decade of experience in the food and beverage industry and special expertise in country club operations and both casual and fine dining management to Spruce Point Inn. He began his career thirteen years ago as Dining Captain and advanced to his most recent position as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Addison Reserve Country Club in Delray Beach, FL. Addison Reserve is recognized as a Platinum Club of America and ranks 9th in the nation among residential country clubs. As Assistant F&B Manager, Morris managed three dining outlets with annual revenues of $2.5 million and supervised a staff of over 75 employees. Morris attended the University of Central Florida and Florida Atlantic University and is a member of the Club Managers Association of America. “Spruce Point Inn is recognized as one of the top dining spots along the Maine coast and benefits substantially from the memories we create through our dining experience when it comes to guest satisfaction and repeat stays,” said innkeeper Angelo DiGiulian in making the announcement. “We look forward to adding Robert’s club and restaurant management experience to the mix and anticipate that the combination of his experience and Chef Peter Stiles award-winning creativity will help us polish that reputation even further.” Mr. Morris will oversee operations for the Inn’s three restaurants: 88, Bogie’s and Deck. 88, the dining room in the historic Main Inn serves Maine Coast Cuisine in a bright and casually elegant space with views of the ocean.
