Paris, April,
27th 2011 –
Louvre Hotel Group announced today the appointment of Mike Spetter as
External
Advisor to the President. He will assume his position on May 4, 2011
and will
work directly alongside Pierre-Frédéric Roulot.
Mike Spetter’s primary aim will be to
continue to bring the respective cultures of Louvre Hotels and Golden
Tulip
closer together, by pooling the expertise of teams and strengthening
the
Group's brand portfolio - which includes seven well known and well
recognized
brands ranging from 1 to 5 stars.
Mike Spetter has worked in the hotel
industry for over 25 years. During his career, he spent six years in
the U.S.
at Radisson as Director of Operations and then held various positions
for the
Carlton Group. He joined Golden Tulip in 1994 as International Regional
Director in the Netherlands - Benelux Region, before being appointed
General
Manager in Malta in 2002. He later became a Consultant with ING and
Rabo Bank,
to monitor their activities in the hotel industry. He is currently
President of
Hotel & Leisure Groep, a position he will hold until December
2011.Mike
Spetter has followed several Advanced Management Programs at Cornell
University.
