Three Associates of Denver Hyatt Hotels, Monica Cheeks, Skip Harless,
and Robert Kasnekaw, are Recognized by Hyatt Hotels for their
Outstanding Service and Dedication



Denver, CO, April 18, 2011 - Three associates of Hyatt Hotels of Denver Downtown; Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center and Grand Hyatt Denver, have been acknowledged by Hyatt Hotels and Resorts worldwide for their outstanding service and dedication:

Hyatt Regency Denver’s Monica Cheeks named Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Director of Catering of the Year: Monica Cheeks began her Hyatt career 28 years ago at Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, gaining extensive experience in all facets of food and beverage operations. She opened Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center five years ago as the Director of Catering/Convention Services. In 2010, Hyatt Regency Denver was recognized by Hyatt Hotels and Resorts as “Catering Team of the Year.”

Hyatt Regency Denver’s Skip Harless named Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Rooms Executive of the Year: With Hyatt since 1989 at the DFW Airport Hyatt, Skip Harless worked his way up through the Rooms Division in eight different Hyatt Hotels, including Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, and was named Hyatt’s Rooms Executive of the Year in 2006 as well. He moved to Denver in July of 2007 as Executive Assistant Manager of Hyatt Regency Denver.

Grand Hyatt Denver’s Robert Kasnekaw named Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Director of Food and Beverage of the Year: Eleven years ago, Robert Kasnekaw was chosen to be a Corporate Management Trainee at Hyatt Regency Reston. He assisted with the opening of Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego to then become the director of food and beverage at Hyatt Regency Milwaukee before moving to Grand Hyatt Denver in 2007 as Director of Food & Beverage.

Each of these awards was categorized by Hyatt according to room count: 400 rooms and under, 400-599 rooms and over 600 rooms. With 1,100 rooms, Hyatt Regency Denver falls into the large hotel category and Grand Hyatt Denver at 516 rooms in the medium size hotel category.
