2011--The Huntington Hotel Group is pleased to announce the following
Susan Perez joined affiliates of the company as an intern in 1993. She graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in hospitality management. Susan has held a position in Sales, Food & Beverage, as well as opened three Fairfield Inns before becoming the dual General Manager of the Courtyard and Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Dallas Market Center. Susan will assume the position of Regional Vice President of Operations with oversight of the company’s Texas and Kansas hotels. Susan’s responsibility will include operations oversight for new management contracts. Susan will be based in the company’s Las Colinas office.
Archie Stringfield joined the company as General Manager at the San Diego Central Courtyard in late February. Archie has held several General Manager positions with Sunstone Hospitality. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Kentucky University. Archie’s awards include Hotel of the Year, General Manager of the Year, and Sales Team of the Year, to name a few.
Edward Yu has joined the company as Financial Analyst. Most recently Edward was involved with a boutique investment banking firm in New York and Dallas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Edward will provide analysis of the hotels’ operations and sales performance as well as assist with capital formation and new business opportunities. Edward will be based in the company’s Las Colinas office.
Jonathan Craven has joined the company as the General Manager of the Houston I/10 Energy Corridor Courtyard. Before opening a new Homewood Suites in Houston, TX, Jon held numerous General Manager Positions with the Waterford Hotel Group. Jon holds a degree in hotel & catering operations Management from the University of Huddersfield, England.
Mark O’Neal has joined the company as Regional Vice President of Sales. Mark has over 25 years of experience in Hotel Sales and Operations. Most recently as Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Wright Investments. Mark has held several sales leadership positions with full-service Hilton products as well as Select Service Hilton and Marriott products. Mark also has market experience in Southern California, Midwest and Washington DC. Mark will be based in the company’s Las Colinas office.
Brian Meader joins the company as General Manager of the Executive Village in Overland Park, Kansas. Brian has over 20 years of experience in Operations and in Accounting. Most recently Brian was an Accounting Manager for Noble Hospitality. Brian has been a General Manager for more than eight years and holds a degree in Business and Hotel Management from Platte College.
Khaled Kaawar joins the company as General Manager for the Burbank Courtyard in Burbank, CA. Khaled has more than 18 years of experience in hotel management. Khaled resides in Burbank and is looking forward to working with the Burbank community that he loves.
