Montage Hotels & Resorts Names Gabriel Ask as Executive Chef and
Tim Dupree as Associate Director of Sales & Marketing for the
201-room Montage Beverly Hills in California


BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. – (April 1, 2011) - Montage Beverly Hills, located in the heart of Southern California’s most celebrated neighborhood, today announced that Gabriel Ask has been named as Executive Chef for the hotel.  Additionally, Tim Dupree has been appointed to the role of Associate Director of Sales & Marketing for the Montage Beverly Hills.

As Executive Chef, Ask will lead the culinary operations of Montage Beverly Hills, continuing the property’s commitment to creative dining experiences that feature a modern infusion of California’s finest seasonal ingredients and artisanal products. He oversees all culinary operations for the hotel including special events, private dining, catering and conference services, banquets and the stunning rooftop restaurant, The Conservatory Grill, which features unparalleled views of the Hollywood Hills.

Ask began his culinary career working for award-winning chef Thomas Keller at famed French Laundry and continued on to hone his skills under such other prestigious chefs as Alain Ducasse and Joël Robuchon. Most recently, Ask served as Executive Sous Chef for The Resort at Pelican Hill. Prior to that, he was with the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Dupree has held esteemed roles at many luxury properties throughout the U.S., including more than 15 years of experience in the Los Angeles hospitality industry. He most recently served as the Area Director of Sales for The Beverly Hills Hotel and Hotel Bel-Air. During his tenure, Dupree oversaw all local sales strategy and established strong relationships within the greater Los Angeles community, including strategic partnerships with entertainment industry influencers, studio executives and A-list talent.

Previously, Dupree spent more than 18 years with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, driving operations, sales and marketing efforts for the company’s Austin, Nevis, Newport Beach, The Beverly Wilshire and Four Seasons Los Angeles.

Dupree holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Hospitality Management from Niagara University.
