Daniel Wells Appointed as Executive Chef at 56-room Tempo Miami,
A RockResort in Miami, Florida

Miami, FL – April 4, 2011 – Tempo Miami, A RockResort, announces the appointment of Executive Chef Daniel Wells, who is heating up the kitchen at the resort’s Amuse restaurant. Wells adds new flare to the menu, offering innovative small-plate dishes crafted from organic produce and sustainable seafood.

Wells brings with him more than 10 years of culinary experience and is no stranger to the Florida coast.  Before joining the Tempo Miami team, Wells served as sous chef at The Setai Hotel and Resort in South Beach, overseeing the kitchen and maintaining the hotel’s standard for the highest level of operation and service. Prior to his arrival to Miami’s food scene, Wells worked at several restaurants in South Florida, including The Breakers Flagler Steak House and The Bistro in West Palm Beach, where he specialized in turning out the perfect soufflés. Wells graduated from the Florida Culinary Institute and previously served in the US Navy as the Captain’s personal chef.

Amuse provides guests with breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay and Museum Park from sun-up to sun-down. The menu changes daily in keeping with RockResorts’ “Appetite for Life” program, striving to serve only the freshest organic, local and sustainable cuisine. Sample items from Wells’
menu include the popular “inside out BLT,” gruyere, manchego and truffle mac and cheese, Chef Danny’s salad with spiced walnuts, sundried cherries and Apple Wood Smoked bacon and fresh mango lime cake.

Perfectly situated across from the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and American Airlines Arena, Tempo Miami, A RockResort, is located in the 67-story Marquis Residences. Overlooking Biscayne Bay, the resort offers 56 luxurious guest rooms and spacious suites, a gourmet restaurant, Amuse, and an 8,000-square-foot RockResorts Spa®.
