Courtyard by Marriott in Warwick, Rhode Island Appoints
Judie Ritter as General Manager

WARWICK, RI (April 5, 2011) --- Judie Ritter has been named general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Warwick, RI. As general manager, Ritter will be responsible for all phases of the hotel’s operations, sales and administration. The 92-room Courtyard Warwick is managed by Waterford Hotel Group Inc., a national hotel and convention center management firm.

Ritter joins the Courtyard Warwick with more than 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She first joined Waterford Hotel Group in 2008 as the general manger of the Homewood Suites in Ithaca, NY, which Waterford opened in 2007.  Prior to this, Ritter was general manager for such brands as Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, and Ramada Inn, and most recently served as the general manager of the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Virginia Beach, VA.

Ritter is a graduate from Orange County Community College in Middletown, NY with a major in Business Development. She previously served on the Choice Hotels Regional Advisory Board and National Delegate to Choice Hotels Owners Council. Ritter is also the former chair of the Trade Show Committee for a local region of Choice Hotels.

Ritter, whose hometown is Midtown, NY, recently relocated to West Warwick, RI.
