International to Debut Google Application,
Corporate IBE Service and CRS
Upgrades at ITB Berlin
Berlin, Germany –
March 8, 2011
– Trust International is to set the stage for growth in 2011 and unveil
its
newest upgrades and product features at its exhibit booth 208, Hall 9
at ITB
Berlin, the world largest tourism fair taking place from, March 9-13 in
the
exhibition grounds in Berlin, Germany. “Trust has had an excellent start in 2011 and we’re anticipating a great year based on our new business pipeline and renewed growth with existing customers as the economy recovers in many areas of the world,” Richard Wiegmann, Trust International Managing Director stated. “Throughout the past several years, we have continued to invest heavily in gathering feedback from our customers in Customer Advisory Boards and advancing our technology. That is definitely paying off. We have numerous new products and services ready to go to fully take advantage of the economic upturn.” Google Maps Rates and Availability Interface One major new product is the Google–Trust program that was recently announced. The program evolved as a result of Google participating in a Trust Customer Advisory Board meeting where new business opportunities were discussed. The new application programming interface allows for real-time sharing of rates and availability directly from the hoteliers’ web sites as the customers do travel research within Google Maps. After completing the beta test with Google and a hotelier, Trust has been on a worldwide roadshow to introduce the service. “The feedback from hoteliers has been totally positive,” Mr. Wiegmann said. “Every single one has said they want it. Clearly this has value for our hoteliers and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Google to deliver it to them.” yourVoyager CRS Upgrade Release & New OTAs Trust continues to strengthen its fully customizable, user-friendly centralized reservation service, deepening the partnership with existing OTAs such as expedia.de, hotel.de or booking.com, yet adding on new distribution channels/online travel agencies. In addition to the new front-end channels recently announced with Lanyon, Trust is partnering with Unister, a major Germany-based online travel provider, to offer yet one more OTA channel. With Unister, Trust will have 30 channels, some of them not available with other CRSs. Trust has completed new backend functionalities to enable a hotel to use just one centralized reservation system (CRS) – yourVoyager – to support all these channels. The new functionality allows hotels to separately select and update room and rate descriptions per channel to accommodate content or information that would be exclusive for a specific channel. Once activated, the private content will only be displayed to that channel and will provide additional information for the booker. Trust is also keeping the global distribution services (GDSs) in mind, offering new functionalities targeted to enhance user friendliness for travel agents as they select a hotel with yourVoyager. The new Amadeus Multi-Room Booking and Shopping functionality, now online, enables travel agents to request hotel availability display and pricing, as well as book up to nine rooms at a time. It helps agents optimize their productivity by getting an interactive answer to the request directly in the Amadeus Hotels Multi-Property Availability display. Additionally, it provides instant responses and eliminates additional steps to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. New Corporate Online Solution Trust’s new Corporate Internet Booking Engine (IBE) allows a hotel group to manage its hotels’ individual corporate accounts with low- or medium-size volumes and provides them with a corporate or negotiated rate, reporting and branded access. The IBE is fully integrated into yourVoyager and will be available in demonstrations at Trust’s ITB booth. “Our strategy of continual investment in technology is one of our biggest strengths and is a major attraction for new customers,” said Mr. Wiegmann. “Our new customers that signed on at the end of 2010, including Rotana Hotels, have already completed their cutovers and are experiencing excellent results.” Omer Kaddouri, Chief Operating Officer for Rotana, said, “We use technology to push our business boundaries and to ensure innovation and efficiency across all our hotels. Our recent cutover to Trust’s CRS services is helping our hoteliers to maximize their exposure, drive bookings and deliver bottom line results.” About
