SEATTLE, Wash. - Noble House Hotels & Resorts – a collection of luxury resorts – has assumed overall management of River Terrace Inn and Restaurant Cuvee. Located in downtown Napa, the boutique hotel is the 13th addition to the Noble House Hotels & Resorts (NHHR) hospitality portfolio, which includes properties in California, Florida, Rhode Island, Texas and Washington.

“As our first Northern California property, NHHR’s goal is to enhance the guest experience and solidify the partnership between River Terrace Inn and Restaurant Cuvee to make this property one of the most distinctive locales in Napa,” said Jake Donoghue, Noble House chief executive officer. “We plan to invest $2.7 million into the hotel and restaurant within the year, with capital improvements for both entities as well as plans for the addition of a spa in 2012.”

Additionally, Restaurant Cuvée is proud to welcome acclaimed Chef Jordan Mackey to this downtown Napa locale adjacent to the River Terrace Inn. A natural leader, Mackey is responsible for strengthening the relationship with the hotel and creating inspiring culinary works of art for Cuvée’s menu, relying on the abundance of local natural resources and creating lasting relationships with many of the local farms and producers throughout the community .

“Noble House and River Terrace Inn are pleased to have such a talented chef join our team. We are brimming with excitement and anticipation for the creative influence he will bring to Restaurant Cuvée,” said Jeff Whitehead, River Terrace Inn general manager.

Chef Mackey brings with him a plethora of culinary experience. With a 10-year history at Noble House properties, he has acquired a vast knowledge of the hospitality industry, having worked in several notable kitchens including the Grove Isle Hotel & Spa in Miami, the La Playa Beach & Golf Resort in Naples and the Meritage, also in Naples. Mackey graduated from New England Culinary Institute in 2000 and has worked with renowned chefs Roy Yamaguchi and Wilhelm Gahabka. He was named “Chef of the Month” in 2003 by Entree Magazine and has been featured in Travel & Leisure and numerous television stations throughout Florida and Washington.

Restaurant Cuvée -- located in the center of downtown Napa adjacent to River Terrace Inn -- offers a low country feel and living room ambiance complemented by distinctive cuisine with a high country flavor and polished edge. Cuvée’s community-focused menu is solely dictated by regional availability and ripeness, producing rich comfort food flavors reengineered to a level of “high cuisine.” While offering an extensive local wine list, the bar also features a robust beer list focused on Northern California micro brews as well as fresh garden-inspired drinks. Chef Mackey’s enhancements to Cuvée include an on-site garden to harvest organic herbs and vegetables for farm-to-table ingredients as well as new weekly themed guest receptions such as “Cupcake Happy Hour” on Tasting Tuesday and “Bubbles and Buckets” on Fried-day.

Set in the heart of the Napa Valley Wine Country, River Terrace Inn is an enchanting blend of modern elegance, laid-back California charm and the energy of downtown Napa, featuring luxurious accommodations, personalized services and a pristine riverfront setting. By day, visitors explore wine country’s radiant vineyards, fresh produce farms and abundant flower gardens, all set among lush, rolling hills. By night, downtown Napa comes alive with nightlife, charming tasting salons and some of the world’s most decadent bistros and restaurants, including Restaurant Cuvee.

The River Terrace Inn consists of masterfully decorated rooms with warm colors and tones, plush luscious bedding and private balconies with breathtaking views of the river allow for the ultimate rest and relaxation. Guests indulge in premier lifestyle amenities such as complimentary high-speed Internet access and Wi-Fi, designer bath products, plush terry cloth towels and soothing whirlpool tubs.
