Elite Island Resorts Appoints Mark Grebby as General Manager of LaSource,
their Resort on Pink Gin Beach in Grenada

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – March 21, 2011 – Mark Grebby has been appointed to the position of general manager at LaSource, the luxury-inclusive spa resort located on Pink Gin Beach in Grenada. As the new general manager, Grebby strategically directs the resort and handles the day-to-day operations.

“We are pleased to have Mark on our Elite Island Resorts management team,” said Steven Heydt, president of Elite Island Resorts.  “He brings a great deal of hospitality experience along with the drive and determination that will help our company to take LaSource to a new level.”

A native of the United Kingdom, Grebby began his career working in London’s most fashionable, five-star hotels, including The Halcyon Hotel and The Milestone Hotel. He has served as manager of the Athenaeum Hotel and Apartments, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, and as deputy general manager overseeing private club memberships at St. James’s Club. His work experience also includes opening the Malmaison in Manchester and serving as general manager of a private estate in Buckinghamshire.

Grebby has also served as resort director on the board of Watergate Bay – The Hotel and Extreme Academy where he was responsible for overseeing several projects including the opening of the Jamie Oliver-inspired restaurant Fifteen Cornwall and renovating the entire Watergate Bay hotel. Throughout his career, Grebby’s projects have received several honors and industry certifications, including South West Tourism Destination of the Year, Best UK Restaurant (Fifteen Cornwall) and the prestigious international business award from Coutts Bank for Best Small Family Business in the U.K.

In 2008, Grebby left England to accept the position of general manager for a resort group in St. Lucia. Three years later, he joins the Elite Island Resorts team to oversee LaSource in Grenada.

LaSource recently won a 2010 Silver Magellan Award in the upscale resort category and was recommended in Condé Nast Johansens’ 2011 luxury travel guide. For more information on Elite Island Resorts or LaSource, please visit http://www.eliteislandresorts.com or call 1-800-858-4618.
