Hospitality Ventures Opens Newly Rebranded 138-room DoubleTree by Hilton
Hotel Pittsburgh - Meadow Lands in Washington, Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON, PA (March 22, 2011)—Hospitality Ventures, a privately owned hotel ownership and management firm headquartered in Atlanta, today announced the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands in Washington, Pennsylvania.  Third-party managed by Hospitality Ventures, LLC, the 138-room DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands has been converted from a Holiday Inn.  The hotel is located at 340 Racetrack Road, adjacent to The Meadows Race Track and Casino and Tanger Outlet, and only 20 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport and 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.

“The opening of this hotel represents the sixth DoubleTree by Hilton we now have in our portfolio, and we look forward to adding more properties from this leading hotel brand in the future,” says Hospitality Ventures President & CEO Robert Cole.  Hospitality Ventures also operates the DoubleTree by Hilton DFW Airport North in Irving, TX that was converted from a Wyndham earlier this month.  Hospitality Ventures added seven hotels to its portfolio in 2010 (a 33% growth rate) despite one of the toughest operating and growth environments in the history of the hotel industry.  According to Cole, the firm is poised to continue double-digit annual growth in 2011 and beyond.

Each of the guestrooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands feature in-room dining; complimentary high speed wireless Internet access; remote guest printing;  two dual-line speakerphones with voicemail and data ports; work-friendly desk; coffeemaker with complimentary coffee; individual climate control; as well as the Sweet Dreams by DoubleTree by Hilton sleep experience package, with a specially designed mattress, plush pillow and high thread-count linens.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands offers over 13,500 square feet of meeting space including a 5,760-square-foot grand ballroom and 3,542-square-foot junior ballroom.  Complimentary high speed wireless Internet access is available in all meeting rooms and public areas.  State of the art audiovisual equipment and services are available, and a business center with printer, fax, scanner, copier, Internet access and other business equipment and services enables guests to do business whenever they want.

Maxwell’s Restaurant serves classic American cuisine in a casual setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including the extensive DoubleTree breakfast buffet.  Cocktails and appetizers are served at Maxwell’s Lounge as well. An onsite Fitness Center offering the latest exercise equipment and an outdoor pool allow guests to maintain their workout program or simply relax at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands.  Complimentary shuttle service to area attractions makes the hotel convenient for business and leisure travelers alike.  Ample free self-parking is on site as well.

“The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Meadow Lands offers all of the top amenities guests have come to expect from a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel,” says Ron Mader, hotel general manager.  “A visit to our newly rebranded hotel begins with the warm welcome of our signature DoubleTree by Hilton chocolate chip cookie and continues with our spacious guestrooms and personal service that is distinctively DoubleTree.”
