Buffalo Lodging Associates Appoints Felix Ramos as General Manager at the 139-room
Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport Hotel

BUFFALO, NY
(March 22, 2011) - Buffalo Lodging Associates is proud to announce the appointment of Felix Ramos to the general manager position at the Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport hotel, scheduled to open in late-June. The 5-story, 139-room hotel is located at 4243 Genesee Street in Cheektowaga, NY, directly across from the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. This will be Buffalo Lodging’s fifth hotel to open in the Town of Cheektowaga.

Mr. Ramos has joined Buffalo Lodging Associates from the E.J. Del Monte Corporation where he worked for 7 years as a regional general manager based out of the company’s Courtyard by Marriott Albany Airport location. During his time at the Albany Courtyard, Felix oversaw multiple renovations, including the most recent property renovation to Courtyard’s Refreshing Business reinvention model. His previous hospitality experience includes 10 years with the full-service Marriott in Albany, NY, working for both Marriott International and Interstate Hotels in various positions, including director of restaurants, director of loss prevention and director of services.

Prior to embarking on his hospitality career, Felix served in the US Army for 7 years as a research and development test controller. In this role, Mr. Ramos successfully supervised the testing and development of weapons systems currently in use by the military. Felix holds a BS in Business Administration and currently resides in Webster, NY.

Some of the Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport hotel’s highlights will include an open, bright and contemporary lobby featuring flexible seating options ranging from a communal table, to private media booths with high-definition televisions, plus an intimate, semi-enclosed lounge area. A signature element of the hotel lobby will be the exclusive Courtyard GoBoardTM, a 52-inch LCD touch screen packed with local information, maps, weather, and news, business and sports headlines.

For onsite dining, The Bistro will offer high quality, healthy menu options for breakfast; and light evening fare, including snacks, wine and beer so guests can unwind. Starbucks® Coffee products will also be available in The Bistro. The large business library will feature several complimentary computer terminals along with a free printer and separate computer stations dedicated to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status.

In addition to the great interior spaces, Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport will feature an outdoor patio with a fire pit for guests to relax and enjoy during the warm weather months.

Spacious rooms will offer plush bedding, HDTVs and a comfortable sitting area. Complimentary high speed internet access will be available in all guest rooms, along with Wi-Fi in public spaces. The hotel will also feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor pool and whirlpool, plus a meeting room.
