News for the Hospitality Executive |
ATLANTA & MONTREAL — March 15, 2011 — Ariane Systems, the world leader in self-service check-in/out technology for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that its Allegro Online/Mobile/Kiosk Check-in/out Solution has been named Second Runner-Up for the Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) 2010 Most Innovative Hospitality Award. HTNG senior officers presented the awards at the 7th Annual Members’ Meeting of HTNG in San Diego, California on March 3rd. Ariane’s revolutionary Allegro solution was selected for this prestigious industry award by hotelier members of HTNG, who voted for their choice of 17 competing entries. The product categories covered a wide range of hospitality technologies and systems, including entertainment systems and devices, guest services tools, property management systems, room controls, and booking systems. Ariane's innovative new Allegro Web-Mobile-Kiosk Check-in/out Solution enables guests to check in and out of a hotel when, where and how they choose—from their personal computer or via mobile devices like smartphones, iPads or Android Tablets. The system features push-mode functionality, detecting the user’s platform of choice and delivering emails or text messages with relevant information prior to arrival at the hotel. Allegro is designed to maximize brand awareness and increase loyalty, as well as improve the guest experience and simplify hoteliers’ efforts to capture guests’ mobile phone numbers and email addresses for future marketing initiatives and data analytics. Allegro is compatible with all major hotel locking technologies, including advanced systems like OpenWays’ Mobile Key solution, as well as RFID key fobs, Near Field Communication protocols and magstripe keycards. “We are extremely honoured and pleased that our Allegro solution was ranked so highly by members of this esteemed organization,” says Laurent Cardot, CEO of Ariane Systems. “Considering that the hotelier members who voted are the ones who utilize technology solutions on a daily basis and truly understand the innovation that Allegro represents for the industry, reaffirms our commitment to providing this revolutionary technology to forward-thinking hotel organizations around the globe.” Voting for this year’s HTNG Innovation Award resulted in the top three technologies being significantly ahead of the other contenders. The top award went to Intelity’s ICE (Interactive Customer Experience™) Touch on iPads. The two runners-up, MobileAccessVE product from Corning MobileAccess and Ariane’s Allegro solution, were originally tied for 2nd place. HTNG had to invoke their tie-breaker policy, which takes into account the votes of industry consultants who slightly favored the MobileAccess solution. Descriptions of the winner and runners-up, including a PDF of each of the display boards submitted by all entrants, are online at HTNG’s Innovation Award website: http://www.htng.org/about/innovationaward.htm.
