The Knowland Group Hiring Blitz Takes Off
McLean, VA, 1/19/11 – The Knowland Group, a leading provider of business development solutions for the hospitality industry, added 16 new employees to its team last week. The group was the largest training class to date and every employee graduated from the week-long new hire boot camp done by Knowland University.
The upswing in hiring is essential for Knowland as the demand for its products and services, including the recently-launched Professional Business Development (PBD), has rapidly increased. Since December 2010, more than 25 new hires have been added to the Knowland team. That same month, Knowland announced the opening of the 30,000 square-foot Event Booking Center (EBC) in Salisbury, MD with the capacity to seat 250, more than five times larger than the previous building.
“We’re proud to be taking on so many new employees throughout the company; it’s exciting to see how much Knowland has expanded in recent months,” Knowland CEO Michael K. McKean said. “This training class enables us to provide even better service to the more than 3,000 hotels we serve globally.”
