News for the Hospitality Executive |
Jim
Justice, owner and chairman of The Greenbrier, recently
announced the appointments and promotion of three key executives. Jeff
Kmiec
has been promoted to president and managing director, while Terry
Miller and
Bruce McGinnis have been named Chief Financial Officer and Chief
Operations
Officer, respectively.
“Jeff, Terry and Bruce are three of the finest executives I have ever worked with,” said Justice. “Jeff’s leadership in 2010 enabled us to achieve goals many would consider impossible. He set a standard of commitment and exhibited an unrelenting work ethic as a model of success. For years, Terry’s financial knowledge and instincts are invaluable and he has already made a significant impact on The Greenbrier’s economic stability. Bruce’s executive management skills have enhanced our skilled workforce and helped strengthen our business model.” Kmiec, who joined the resort as vice president of sales and marketing in August 2009, was most recently vice president and managing director of the resort. During his tenure, he led the resort’s team through events such as the grand opening of the Casino Club and the inaugural Greenbrier Classic. In addition, The Greenbrier’s social and group bookings have set all-time records and continue to grow. Miller, who has served as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Justice Companies for many years, adds The Greenbrier to his financial oversight responsibilities. With strong business acumen, McGinnis will be responsible for evaluating the resort’s business practices, short and long-term planning and implementing sound business strategies. |
