Four Seasons Hotel Austin Appoints Rob Hagelberg as General Manager
and Michael Pedder as Hotel Manager

.
AUSTIN, Texas (Feb. 22, 2011) -- Four Seasons Hotel Austin is pleased to announce two new additions to its executive team: General Manager Rob Hagelberg and Hotel Manager Michael Pedder.

Rob Hagelberg

Replacing Tom Segesta -- who, after eight years in Austin, recently transferred to take over as General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, a Four Seasons Hotel -- Rob Hagelberg was most recently Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village.

Rob has enjoyed a distinguished career with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, spanning nearly two decades. He first joined the company in Palm Beach, Fla. in the fall of 1993 as Front Desk Manager. During his six years in Florida he held a variety of jobs culminating in the position of Director of Rooms.

Over the next seven years, Rob took on roles of increasing responsibility within the company -- including positions in Houston, Boston and Scottsdale, Ariz. -- before joining the pre-opening team in Westlake Village, Calif. in the summer of 2006. Under his leadership as Hotel Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village garnered the coveted AAA Five Diamond award after its first year of operation, an honor achieved by very few hotels.

As part of his duties in Westlake Village, Rob served as the Executive Director of the revolutionary California Health & Longevity Institute. His personal interest in health and wellness, which includes a love for tennis and basketball, is one of the many reasons he was attracted to the Austin position.

"Everything I've heard and read about Austin has been incredibly positive," said Hagelberg. "My family and I are looking forward to exploring the city and to becoming active members of the Austin community."

With more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rob began his career after graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business (Hotel Restaurant Institutional Management). His official start date is Feb. 28, 2011 and he will be joined shortly thereafter by his wife, Meri, and sons Mitch and Caleb.

Michael Pedder
Most recently Director of Food & Beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles, Michael's love for hospitality was fostered early in life thanks to summers working at his father's hotel. Born in England, he studied Hospitality Management at university before moving to the United States in 1998 to work in historic Newport, R.I. as the manager of Vanderbilt Hall.

Michael's Four Seasons career began in 2002 at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, where he held the position of Banquet Manager. After four years in the city of brotherly love, he traded cold winters for the year-round warmth of the Hawaiian islands, taking on the role of Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Resort Manele Bay and the Lodge at Koele.

Michael moved to Austin in early February and officially started at the Hotel on Feb. 7, 2011. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, riding his Ducati motorcycle and watching his beloved Liverpool Football Club play (and lose) each week.

Open since 1987, Four Seasons Hotel Austin provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. For additional information, please visit: www.fourseasons.com/austin.
