Choice Hotels International Opens 15 New Hotels in January


Silver Spring, Md. (February 22, 2011) – Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) continues to grow with the announcement of 15 newly-opened franchised properties during the month of January. The openings include hotels in five states and five additional countries, adding more than 1,000 rooms to the company’s existing 490,000-plus rooms. Select properties that opened in January include:
 
Hotel Seville, an Ascend Collection hotel – Harrison, Ark.
The 1929 Hotel Seville is a chic haven in downtown Harrison close to area businesses and the pristine Buffalo National River. As a result of a $3.5 million renovation in 2008, each of the 57 guestrooms and suites combine modern conveniences – Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, pillow-top mattresses and oversized desks – with historic flair. The Seville boasts a dramatic grand lobby with soaring ceilings, terrazzo floors and a wrought-iron chandelier. The hotel’s full-service John Paul's restaurant serves up drinks and live music for a fun, casual vibe. A massage therapist and game room are among the other amenities.
 
Clarion Hotel – Copan Ruinas, Honduras
Located just minutes from downtown, the Clarion Hotel Copan Ruinas offers features like free newspapers, free Wi-Fi, fitness center, outdoor pool and hot tub. The hotel’s on-site Las Ruinas Restaurant and El Arqueologo Bar provide a warm and inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy a delicious meal or signature drink. Guestrooms also offer pillow-top mattresses, plasma TVs and in-room coffee makers. Select suites also feature in-bath whirlpools. Valet cleaning service is also available and on-site parking is provided.
 
Quality Inn & Suites Saltillo Eurotel – Saltillo, Mexico
Minutes from historic downtown Saltillo and close to the Plan de Guadalupe International Airport, guests of this smoke-free hotel can enjoy free wireless high-speed Internet, free breakfast, free newspapers, free local and airport transportation, an indoor heated pool and more. Guestrooms offer coffee makers, flat-screen TVs and safes with some rooms also featuring sofa beds and kitchen facilities with microwaves, mini-bars and refrigerators.
