News for the Hospitality Executive
with Turkey and
the Maldives, the runtriz™ guest-services
tool that delivers personalized
Los Angeles – October 26, 2010 – The international expansion of the runtriz™ guest-services mobile platform that began in Turkey this summer at the world-renowned luxury beachfront Hillside Su Hotel in Antalya has been expanded to the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. This month guests of the world renowned Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort -- which is spread across two islands and is surrounded by a vibrant coral reef and lagoon -- began offering runtriz™ to its guests.
Voted "Best Hotel in the World" by readers of the UK Sunday Times travel magazine and "Leading Resort in the Indian Ocean" at the World Travel Awards, the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort offers guest services and amenities like no other, including 150 beach, water and spa villas, an all-glass under-the-sea restaurant, and a wine cellar featuring 800 different types of wine selected by Dr. Ron Georgiou, one of only 265 Masters of Wine in the world.
"Today, we are pleased to announce that all of the award-winning world-class services and amenities featured at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Resort -- including spa services, in-room dining, villa luggage service, water excursions, shopping and more -- are now available with the touch of a finger on a guests' personal web-enabled mobile device through runtriz™," said Matthew Allard, runtriz™ founder and president. "Travelers who visit this island paradise expect only the highest level of service. Having all of the resort's offerings available at their fingertips via a personalized app on their iPad, iPhone, Blackberry or Android-enabled device raises service to levels not even anticipated by guests with the most discerning tastes.
"Even more exciting is the fact that resort management has purchased 200 iPod Touch devices to lend to any guest who wants to interact with the resort and its award-winning services," he said. "With an iPod Touch for every room, guests can experience one-touch luxury like never before. Without even leaving their beachside chaise, one can schedule a morning Yoga class, peruse child care activities, plan an afternoon shopping excursion, and arrange for a bottle from the resort's extensive wine list to be delivered to the villa prior to booking a dinner reservation at the underwater restaurant. It's hospitality at its finest and its available worldwide through runtriz™."
Convenient and Easy to Use
Nicel Viktoria Mette, Guest Relations Manager at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort, said property management believes passionately in incorporating the latest technology into their guest-services program. runtriz™, she said, is not only convenient, but it's easy for guests to use, even for those who may not know how to use an iPod Touch but get to experience it for the first time at the resort.
"We bought the iPod Touch devices specifically to improve the overall concierge experience, making it more interactive and easier for guests to discover all of the abundant facilities at our resort," Mette said. "From an operational point of view, it allows us prompt follow up on guest requests and track overall trends which will improve our service. We anticipate guest amenity requests, such as extra towels and toiletries, and bookings for restaurants and excursion packages, to generate the most activity.
"Our initial focus is on enhancing guest service in an efficient and interactive way," she said. "We also will use runtriz™ to promote the full range of services, such as wine lists, special events, last-minute opportunities at the spa etc. We are confident that this mobile tool will reduce the use of printed collateral in our villas, which are easily damaged and date quickly."
Allard said the company is presently in negotiations with hotels and resorts across the globe to add runtriz™ to their guest-services offerings. Agreements with properties in Scotland, France, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Japan, Mexico, Dubai, England, Ireland and the British West Indies are anticipated for late 2010 and early 2011.
