David Noto Named Executive Chef for The Omni Bedford Springs Resort

Bedford Springs, PA (November, 2010) – The Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of David Noto as Executive Chef. Bringing two decades of experience at highly rated hotel restaurants across the country, Noto is responsible for all dining operations at the historic resort in Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountain region, including menu creation for six restaurants and food outlets, as well as for room service, banqueting and special events.

Noto arrives at an exciting time for dining at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa, which recently re-launched two restaurants. The 1796 Room, named for the year Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort stands, was re-conceived over the summer as a signature steak and chophouse serving highest-quality meats and seafood in a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere of warm sophistication. Meanwhile, the resort’s main dining room, The Crystal Room, was re-launched with a focus on locally grown produce, regional flavors and personalized service.

“David is a true talent as well as a ‘chef’s chef’ who delights in working hands-on with his culinary team and mixing and mingling with guests. With the new focus on service and the revitalized concepts at our most storied restaurants, he’ll be a great asset to the dining experience offered at our resort,” said Scott Stuckey, General Manager at the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa.

Chef Noto joins the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa following seven years as Executive Chef of the AAA Four Diamond-rated Hilton Dallas Lincoln Center. Previously, he held senior positions at an array of highly rated properties including Executive Chef of the Petroleum Club in Fort Worth, Texas (1999-2003); Executive Sous Chef of The Fairmont in San Francisco (1997-1999); Banquet Chef at The Worthington Hotel in Fort Worth (1995-1997); and Garde Manger Chef at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia (1994-1995). Noto got his start at The Worthington in 1991.

An engaging professional, Noto was a culinary instructor at the Art Institute of Dallas from 2006-2010, teaching courses covering American Regional Cuisine with Latin Influences, Classical Cuisine and food purchasing. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, with an AA Degree in Culinary Arts in 1991.
