Phase One of the multi-phased development includes the opening of 85 villas, lagoon pools, fitness center, marketplace and upscale sundry shop. Construction on the resort development began in June 2008 and the project ultimately will include one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom luxury residences. The second phase of construction is expected to begin in May 2011.
The property is owned by Salt Lake City-based consortium Poipu Beach Villas, LLC, and is managed by Azul Hospitality Group of San Diego, a hospitality management company specializing in full-service hotels and upscale resorts. Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand Resort offers luxurious resort amenities in a master-planned community, as well as shoreline access to some of the most popular beaches in Hawaii. Upon completion, the resort will feature a central pool with water slide, sand bottom area, cascading waterfalls and swim-through grotto, lagoon-style pools, several hot tubs, fitness center, day spa, poolside bar and grill, covered parking and semiprivate elevators to each front door.
Villas include gourmet-style kitchens, Sub-Zero® and Wolf® appliances, granite countertops, spacious walk-in closets, exotic hardwood and natural stone flooring, central air-conditioning and state-of-the-art technology. In addition, each villa includes a custom furniture package with premium finishes, indoor and outdoor living spaces and floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to spacious lanais, the Hawaiian term for terrace.
