Hilton Hotels & Resorts Open First Stage, the Boulevard Tower,
of New Build $700 million Hilton Surfers Paradise, in
Australia's Gold Coast  .

GOLD COAST, Australia and MCLEAN, Va. - December 2010 - Hilton Hotels & Resorts today announced the opening of the first stage of Hilton Surfers Paradise, the brand's first combination hotel and residences in Australia.

This first stage of the new-build $700 million Hilton Surfers Paradise, called the Boulevard Tower, comprises 134 residential apartments, managed by Hilton Worldwide. The Orchid Tower, featuring a dedicated 169 room Hilton hotel and further residential apartments, is scheduled for completion in late 2011. Both towers are orientated to maximise views of the ocean, hinterland and city.

Dave Horton, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, said: "We expect Hilton Surfers Paradise to prove extremely popular with holiday-makers to the Gold Coast seeking state-of-the-art, flexible accommodation options, coupled with the refreshing hospitality that the Hilton brand is renowned for across the globe. With the introduction of Hilton Surfers Paradise, we aim to marry our brand's global standards with the local characteristics of Surfers Paradise and present the Gold Coast with a truly unique hospitality offering."

Commenting on the announcement, Martin Rinck, area president, Hilton Worldwide, Asia Pacific said, "Hilton Surfers Paradise will be the ninth Hilton-branded property in Australia and we regard the Gold Coast as the perfect new destination for our core Hilton brand. This first stage of Hilton Surfers Paradise will offer guests more space than a traditional hotel room, such as families, with the option of one, two or three-bedroom apartments with access to all the services and facilities offered by an upscale hotel."

Leisure and recreational facilities offered at Boulevard Tower will include an indoor lap pool and spa, sauna, gymnasium and barbecue pavilion. Guests who enjoy shopping can indulge their passion when the first stage of a boutique shopping mall within the complex opens.

Hilton Surfers Paradise is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise just one block from the iconic Surfers Paradise Beach and in close proximity to restaurants, bars and upmarket shopping areas.
