Greg McDonnell Named General Manager for the Rebranded
and Newly Renovated Courtyard by Marriott Key Largo

KEY LARGO, Florida, December, 2010 – On Friday, December 3, 2010, Courtyard by Marriott Key Largo will begin welcoming guests to the newly renovated, 91-room property at Mile Marker 100 in The Florida Keys.  Formerly the Ramada Resort & Marina Key Largo, the new Courtyard by Marriott Key Largo is operated by the newly appointed General Manager Greg McDonnell, who has also overseen the renovation and been on-site for the entire conversion.

“The Courtyard by Marriott Key Largo is a great addition to our family of resorts and hotels, and a wonderful presence in The Keys,” stated Andy Berger, Vice President of Operations for Ocean Properties, Ltd. “The hotel offers all the best of The Keys, with the added appeal of the stellar guest service and full-service amenities associated with the Courtyard name.”

The three-story property boasts the trendy design and layout associated with Courtyard by Marriott.  Well-known features include the 52-inch touch-screen GoBoard™; Eat, Drink, Connect Bistro with breakfast and dinner items; Starbucks coffee all day; Media Room; Business Library and complimentary WiFi throughout the resort.  All newly renovated and over-sized guest rooms feature new carpeting, lighting, sofas and chairs, artwork and plush linens.  In-room amenities include a 32-inch LCD flat-panel, high-definition television, mini refrigerator, and coffee makers, to list just a few.  All rooms also feature private balconies overlooking the marina or with pool views.  Outdoor pleasures include a heated freshwater pool and man-made beach. Upgrades to the pool and Jacuzzi area include all-new furniture and renovated restrooms.  Additional amenities include complimentary covered self parking and a 24-hour fitness center.

With a 77-slip deep-water marina right next door, guests can also take advantage of daily deep sea and back country fishing, glass bottom boat cruises, and dive and snorkel trips.

Located in the upper Keys, the hotel is just 55 miles south of Miami, 100 miles from Key West, and minutes from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Everglades National Park, and Dolphin Encounters.

A graduate from Boston University’s School of Hospitality, General Manager Greg McDonnell has managed properties for OPL since 2007 in Maine and Key West.
