Hilton Worldwide Appoints Luis Perillo as General Manager
of the 245-room Hilton Bogota


McLean, Va. � September 23, 2010 � Hilton Worldwide today announced the appointment of Luis Perillo as General Manager of the new build 245-guestroom Hilton Bogota.  Luis Perillo will report to Tom Potter, vice president, operations, Latin America, Hilton Worldwide, and will be responsible for all hotel operations of the Hilton in Bogota, Colombia.  Perillo most recently served as regional director sales and marketing, Latin America and Caribbean, Hilton Worldwide.

Perillo brings over 21 years of experience to his new role.  He joined Hilton Worldwide in 1995 as director of sales and marketing for Hilton Venezuela. Since then Perillo has held various roles including regional director of sales and marketing for the Andean Region, opened Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi as director of business development and resident manager, and general manager of Hilton Barquisimeto in Venezuela.  Prior to joining the company, Perillo acted in various operational positions and as director of sales and marketing of other hotels in his native Venezuela.

Perillo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University and is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian.  He has also participated in several Hilton management programs at London Business School, IMD Lausanne, Switzerland and Cornell University. 

The 245-guestroom Hilton Bogota is scheduled for completion in mid-2011 and marks Hilton�s return to the capital city of Colombia after 17 years.  Hilton Bogota will include a restaurant with direct street access, lobby bar, fitness center, close to 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a contemporary executive floor, and an ample parking lot. Located in the heart of the financial district, Hilton Bogota is just 20 minutes from El Dorado International Airport, and walking distance from shopping malls, theatres, museums, embassies and Bogota�s most popular dining neighborhood.
