The First Day of Fall Calls for a Look Back at Summer:
InnPoints Worldwide Reviews its Summer 2010 Growth
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. SEPTEMBER 22, 2010 As the leaves begin to change and Fall officially takes over today, InnPoints Worldwide and its portfolio of over 1800 hotels looks back on a refreshingly positive summer. While the economy and certain natural disasters took its toll on tourism in many areas this summer, InnPoints hotels managed to come out ahead of the past two negative years. InnPoints Worldwide, provider of reservation solutions for hotels worldwide, realized an overall increase in same-store reservation volume of 8.59% for the summer period, marked by Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Same-store room night growth increased by 10.2% for that same period. More notably, the InnPoints Worldwide hotel collection as a whole grew by 27.03% in reservation volume for the 2010 summer period over 2009. We believe our portfolio growth in reservation volume can be attributed to an increase in our client base, coupled with the introduction of a number of cutting edge reservation and revenue management tools released this year in our central reservation system, said President and CEO Dr. Randall Reviere. Were thrilled to see our hard work pay off for our hotels, especially given such a complex summer season. New to the InnPoints central reservation system, MyCRS, this summer were advanced features like strike-through pricing, marketing text for rate plans, unlimited booking engine images and the VIBE Mobile booking engine. InnPoints also completed an Expedia Quick Connect interface earlier this year, and was recently granted a preferred vendor status. InnPoints portfolio managers were working harder than ever to craft winning promotions and implement targeted social media strategies to capture additional bookings right up through the last day of summer.
