Benchmark Names John Hines Director of Sales & Marketing for
The Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center,
New Brunswick, New Jersey

The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, July 2010 … Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named John Hines director of sales & marketing for The Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Mike Taylor, Benchmark’s general manager at The Heldrich, made the announcement.

"John has been a key sales leader in every role he has attained at our property and within our company,” said Mr. Taylor.  “This was highlighted when he received Benchmark’s highest sales honor as Sales Executive of the Year.  We congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion and look forward to his leadership of our sales team at The Heldrich.”   

Previously, John Hines was director of sales for The Heldrich, a position he was appointed to in 2006 during the property’s pre-opening phase.  Mr. Hines also served as senior sales manager for Benchmark Hospitality International.

Hines has worked in corporate and conference center sales positions for most of his hospitality career, and within New Jersey and New York, where he has established key sales contacts and important market knowledge.  He has been previously honored at the national level as Sales Executive of the Year and has also been recognized at the property level as Leader of the Quarter.  

Mr. Hines earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Providence College located in Rhode Island.  He resides with his family in the Delaware River Valley in Yardley, Pennsylvania.
