Aimbridge Hospitality Selected to Manage Hilton Garden Inn in Dubuque, Iowa

Aimbridge Hospitality has been selected to manage the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dubuque in Iowa. The five-year-old Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dubuque is located just off Highway 61/51 North at 1801 Greyhound Park Drive, and the hotel is adjacent to Mystique Casino and Greyhound Park & Casino, a popular dog track and gambling facility that encompasses more than 30,000 square feet of gaming space. The hotel is conveniently located within minutes of the Port of Dubuque, a popular, multi-faceted tourist and convention attraction. Additional points of interest include historic downtown Dubuque and the National River Museum and Aquarium.
 
Owned by Dubuque Casino Hotel LLC, the property features 111 guestrooms, five suites and 1,550 square feet of flexible meeting space.
 
Vice President of Business Development for Aimbridge Hospitality and owner liaison Richard Sprecher said when Dubuque Casino Hotel LLC decided to hire a management company to operate the hotel, it conducted a very thorough search process.
 
“The owners said they wanted to partner with a company that shared its beliefs and philosophies as to what constitutes delivering high-quality guest service and operational excellence,” Sprecher said. “It was a long and arduous process, and it required doing a lot of homework and due diligence. We are very privileged that they decided on Aimbridge Hospitality.”
 
Aimbridge Hospitality took over management on January 1. Hotel General Manager Ken Haugen, who opened the property in 2005, will remain the general manager.
 
“The owners have been very impressed with the level of professionalism and organization exhibited by the Aimbridge Hospitality transition team,” Haugen said. “When all was said and done, Aimbridge Hospitality was the group that best met the owners’ criteria as an excellent and reputable management partner.”
 
Aimbridge Hospitality President and CEO Dave Johnson is very pleased to have been chosen by Dubuque Casino Hotel LLC to manage the property.

At present, Aimbridge Hospitality manages 22 Hilton brands, including two Hilton Inn Garden hotels, three Hilton Hotels, three Hampton Inns, nine Embassy Suites and nine Doubletree hotels.
